DocChase (working name)
Idea status: Idea stage · Target: $20k+ MRR ≈ $250k ARR in 24 months (Tier B) · Verdict: No as a generic document-collection portal. Go, small, as the MTD quarterly records chaser for small UK practices, with a day-60 kill test. · Last updated: 30 Sept 2026
Start here → WHAT-TO-DO-AND-AVOID.md for the final call: the MRR ladder, customer math, 12 do's, 14 avoids and the checkpoints.
Where the idea came from: idea D4 in the 30 Sept 2026 micro-SaaS idea catalog: "Client document-collection portal for accountants", with Content Snare ($990K ARR, 9 staff, Latka estimate) and FileInvite ($22.8M ARR, Latka estimate) as the revenue evidence.
Name: "DocChase" is a working name. Check trademark (UK IPO) and domain before using it publicly.
Boundary with StatementKit: StatementKit turns statements into verified spreadsheets for US reconstruction work. DocChase only collects records from UK clients and hands the files to the practice. It never extracts transactions.
MRR ladder by month 24 (judgment estimates, with the founder conditions met)
| MRR | ~15 hrs/week | Full-time |
|---|---|---|
| $1k | 40% | 55% |
| $5k | 17% | 27% |
| $10k | 8% | 15% |
| $20k (Tier B ≈ 2% / 6%) | 3% | 7% |
As described (generic portal, all professions): $10k ~2%.

Caveat
Hours per week, location, team and UK accounting contacts were never provided. The assumptions are in analysis/09. The share of small UK practices without a suite that already chases, the real terms of Glasscubes MTD Assist, UK WhatsApp and SMS rates, and the 69% agent-share figure are still unverified (see research/10).
