InvoiceBridge (working name; originally "tax and e-invoicing compliance connector")
Idea status: Idea stage · Target: an MRR ladder ($1k → $50k) instead of one fixed number · Verdict: No as described. Go, small, as a Shopify → French approved-platform connector for B2C e-reporting and B2B e-invoices, with a day-45 kill test · Last updated: 30 Sept 2026
Origin: this idea is row E6 of the 30 Sept 2026 micro-SaaS idea catalog: "tax and e-invoicing compliance connectors", with Quaderno, TaxJar and Storecove as the evidence. It was not a feature list supplied by a founder, so there's no stated team, price or traction. See analysis/09.
Name: "InvoiceBridge" is a working name. Check trademark (INPI in France, EUIPO) and domain before using it publicly.
Start here → WHAT-TO-DO-AND-AVOID.md for:
- odds at each MRR level, with the conditions met ($1k ~40–55%, $5k ~15–26%, $10k ~7–13%, $20k ~2–5%);
- customer math, the profit and churn checks, 12 do's, 14 avoids, checkpoints and "this week".
Which mandate, and why: four mandates were compared (Belgium Peppol, France's 2026–27 reform, Poland's KSeF, India's IRP). France won, narrowly and with conditions:
- Belgium and Poland are already live, and their Stripe and WooCommerce connectors are already crowded. Quaderno itself (the catalog's evidence) reportedly shipped Belgian Peppol in Jan 2026.
- India's threshold (₹5 crore) hasn't moved since Aug 2023. Tally, Busy and Zoho do it natively.
- France's small-business wave (issuing and e-reporting) lands on 1 Sept 2027, inside the 24-month window. Shopify is not and won't be an approved platform. French merchants on the Shopify forum said in Sept 2026 that no app handles the full journey. A well-known Shopify invoice app (Sufio) does B2B only, with e-reporting "planned".
See analysis/01.
Boundary with DocPress: DocPress is a developer API for German ZUGFeRD/XRechnung. InvoiceBridge is a no-code Shopify app for French merchants, led by B2C e-reporting. Different mandate, buyer, channel and product. They share no customers.

Caveat
Team, hours per week, French-language ability, location and budget were not provided. The assumptions are in analysis/09.
No verified base rate exists for bootstrapped B2B micro-SaaS or Shopify apps reaching MRR levels. The number of French Shopify stores, partner-PA wholesale prices and French penalty amounts are unverified. All odds are judgment estimates. See research/10.
