9. Assumptions and Open Inputs

The brief template asked for target customer, pricing tiers, geography, stage, team and traction. None were supplied, and the project folder contained no files. Here's what I assumed, and how the verdict changes if each assumption is wrong.

9.1 Assumptions made

InputAssumption usedIf actually different…
Target customer"All content creators" (as the requirements imply)If you're already focused on earning mid-tier creators or managers, probability rises toward the 8–12% band.
PricingNone definedThe suggested structure is in doc 07. Without validated willingness to pay, all revenue projections are fiction.
GeographyUndecided / "global"India-first: drop TikTok, price 3–5x lower, ASCI + DPDP + TDS/GST. US-first: TikTok in scope, higher ARPU, FTC + CCPA + 1099.
StageIdea. No code, no users, no revenue (the repo folder was empty)With live users, cohort retention data would outweigh most of this document. Send it.
Team1–3 people, technical, no stated creator-industry backgroundA founder who was a creator, manager, or brand-side influencer marketer is the single biggest positive change to fundability.
TractionNoneAny paying users, even 10, change the conversation from "idea" to "evidence".
FundingNone raisedExisting capital doesn't change the product advice. It changes how long you can afford to be wrong.
Competitor and market figuresPublic information up to mid-2026, approximateRe-verify pricing and features for vidIQ, Spotter, Opus Clip, Beacons, Passionfroot, Collabstr and the native tools before pitching.

9.2 Inputs that would change the verdict most (please supply)

  1. Team bios. Who's building this, and what's their connection to creators or brands?
  2. Launch geography, and the reason for it.
  3. Current stage and any numbers: waitlist size, interviews done, users, paying users, retention.
  4. Intended pricing and the segment it's aimed at.
  5. Budget and runway: months of runway, and whether you plan to raise.
  6. Any existing brand relationships. These decide whether the marketplace is even an option.
  7. Why this team wants to build it. Founder motivation predicts whether you'll accept cutting scope.

9.3 Definitions used throughout
