4. Expanded Feature Catalog (What Creators Are Asking For), Top 10 Platforms Only

You asked me to add features creators are demanding. They're below, each classified with the same honesty as your own list. Being in demand doesn't mean you should build it. Most of these demands are already met by someone.

4.1 The top 10 platforms (and why)

Ranked by creator monetization relevance, not raw user count:

#PlatformWhy it's in the top 10Creator monetization leversAPI reality for a third-party tool
1YouTube (Long-form + Shorts)Highest creator payout and the most mature monetizationPartner Program ad share, memberships, Super Thanks, Shopping affiliate, BrandConnectGood for the creator's own channel. Verified limits: 100 search.list calls/day by default (more needs a compliance audit), public data kept for at most 30 days, no combining data across channels, and derived metrics only under a policy amendment.
2Instagram (Reels, Stories, Posts)The primary brand-deal platform globally, and dominant in IndiaBrand deals, subscriptions, gifts, affiliateModerate. Graph API for professional accounts only. Limited competitor data.
3TikTokShort-form trend engine and TikTok Shop affiliate. Banned in India.Creator Rewards Program, TikTok Shop, TikTok One deals, LIVE giftsModerate. Login Kit and Display and Content Posting APIs. The Research API is for academics only.
4Facebook (Reels, Pages)Big reach among 30+ audiences, and Meta monetization programsContent monetization program, Stars, subscriptionsModerate. Graph API via Pages.
5X (Twitter)Commentary, tech and finance creatorsCreator revenue sharing, subscriptionsWeak and expensive. Verified: pay-per-use at $0.005 per post read, capped at 3M reads a month. 1M posts cost up to about $5k.
6LinkedInB2B creators, the fastest-growing "professional creator" segmentBrand deals, newsletters, lead generationRestricted. Posting APIs exist, analytics access is limited.
7Snapchat (Spotlight, Stories)Gen-Z reach, and a creator revenue programSnap Star monetization, Spotlight rewardsLimited.
8PinterestEvergreen traffic, strong for affiliate and commerce nichesAffiliate, shopping, traffic to storefrontsDecent. Pinterest API v5.
9TwitchLive-streaming creatorsSubs, bits, ads, sponsorshipsGood. Helix API.
10ThreadsGrowing text-social platform inside the Meta ecosystemIndirect (bonus programs, audience funnel)Newer API. Publishing and insights available.

Regional substitution: if you launch in India, drop TikTok and consider Moj, Josh or ShareChat depending on the niche. Also add WhatsApp Channels as a distribution and notification surface rather than a creator platform.

Recommendation: support at most 3 at launch. For India, that's YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. For the US, it's YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Add the rest only when paying users ask for them. Each platform is a permanent maintenance cost: token refresh failures, API version deprecations, app-review re-certifications.

4.2 Demanded features, classified

Legend: TS = Table stakes, D = Differentiator, X = Distraction, L = Liability. Priority: P0 = v1 of the recommended wedge, P1 = next, P2 = later, — = don't build.

A. Money and business operations (your strongest area, so lean in)

FeatureDemand signalCategoryPriorityNotes
Deal CRM / pipeline (inbound brand deals, stages, deliverables, due dates)High among mid-tier creators. Most run deals from DMs, email and spreadsheets.DP0Core of the wedge.
Rate card calculator ("what should I charge?") using engagement, niche, geography, deliverable typeVery high. It's one of the most-searched creator questions.DP0Show ranges and reasoning. Improve with anonymized closed-deal data, which becomes your data moat.
Auto-generated live media kit (cross-platform stats, audience demographics)HighTS → DP0Beacons and Stan do static versions. Live and verified stats are a modest edge, and brands trust verified numbers.
Invoicing and payment chasing (reminders to brands, late-payment tracking)High. Late brand payment is a top creator complaint.DP0This is the painkiller.
Contract checklist / red-flag scan (usage rights, exclusivity, perpetuity, payment terms)HighD / LP1Frame it as a checklist and education, never as legal advice. Add a disclaimer and a "consult a lawyer" note.
Affiliate link matching per video plus earnings tracking per videoMedium-highDP0See doc 03. Start with 2–3 networks.
Unified income ledger (AdSense, platform programs, deals, affiliate, memberships)High among professionalsDP1Also sets up tax exports.
Tax-ready export (1099 / GST / TDS summaries)Medium, and seasonalTSP2Export to an accountant. Don't be the tax engine.
Brand-deal marketplace with escrowLoudly requested, but not by paying usersL— (for now)Needs a brand side and payments compliance. Revisit after 1,000+ paying creators give you supply leverage.

B. Compliance and platform-policy features (reframing your "regulations" idea)

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Sponsorship disclosure check (paid-partnership label and #ad present per FTC / ASCI / platform rule)DP1Concrete, checkable, and protects the creator from strikes and fines. Much better than generic "policy news".
AI / synthetic content disclosure check (YouTube altered-content label, TikTok AI labels, Meta "AI info")DP1Increasingly enforced. Easy to explain.
Copyright and music pre-check before publishing (Content ID risk)TS / DP2Hard to do well without licensed fingerprinting. Consider integrating a partner.
Policy-change digest (plain-English summaries of platform rule changes)XMarketing onlyRun it as a free newsletter to acquire users, not as a paid feature.
Community-guidelines strike trackerTSP2Low frequency.

C. Content planning and creation

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Content calendar across platformsTSP1Expected. Keep it simple.
Cross-posting and schedulingTSP2Buffer, Later and Metricool are cheap and mature. Integrate, or add later as a convenience.
Trend and idea feed by nicheTSP2Free elsewhere.
Hook and title generator trained on the creator's own top performersD (only with own data)P2Generic versions are commodity.
Pre-publish packaging score (hook, first 3s, thumbnail, title, caption)TS on YouTube (Ask Studio) / D elsewhereP2Only worth it for Instagram, TikTok and cross-platform.
Script writerTSP2LLM commodity.
Long-to-short repurposing / auto-clippingX for you—Opus Clip, Vizard and Descript own it.
Auto-editing, captions, B-rollX—CapCut, Descript, Captions, Edits.
Thumbnail A/B testingX—YouTube Test & Compare is native and free.
AI dubbing / multilingual versionsX for you—YouTube auto-dubbing and ElevenLabs cover it. It's a real demand, but not your fight.
TeleprompterX—Commodity.

D. Audience and analytics

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Cross-platform analytics dashboardTSP1Needed to power the media kit and rate card anyway.
Retention-drop analysis ("viewers leave at 0:14 when…")DP2YouTube only (retention data is available there).
Best-time-to-postTSP2Every scheduler has it.
Competitor / peer benchmarkingD / LP2Only via legal data sources.
View predictionL— unless calibratedSee doc 03.
Monetization / income forecastL—Show history, not promises.
Audience demographic verification (for brands)DP1Brands pay attention to verified data. It powers the media kit.
Fake-follower / audience-quality scoreD / LP2Brands want it. Creators may hate it if it's shown to them unflatteringly.

E. Engagement and community

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Unified comment and DM inbox with AI-suggested repliesTS / DP2Demand is real, but Meta and TikTok API limits on DMs are strict.
Comment mining for video ideas ("your audience keeps asking about X")DP2Cheap to build on connected data, and genuinely useful.
Superfan / membership managementX—Patreon, YouTube memberships and Stan cover it.
Collab matchingX—See doc 03.

F. Workflow and team

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Editor / manager seats with rolesDP1Mid-tier creators have 1–3 helpers. Seat expansion is also your ARPU lever.
Asset handoff and approval (draft → editor → brand approval)DP2Brand-approval loops are painful, and Frame.io is overkill for creators.
Manager / agency multi-creator roster viewDP1Opens the B2B segment (see doc 02).

G. Wellbeing and "creator burnout"

Surveys often show demand for burnout and wellbeing features. Classification: X. People say they want it and then don't use it or pay for it. Leave it out.

4.3 Net effect

Of roughly 45 demanded features, about 12 are real differentiators for a monetization-focused product, and about 8 belong in v1. Everything else is table stakes you'll add slowly, or other companies' products you should integrate with, not rebuild.
