StatementKit (working name; originally "document-to-spreadsheet converter for accountants")

Idea status: Idea stage · Target: MRR ladder by month 24 (Tier B = $20k+ MRR ≈ $250k ARR) · Verdict: No as a generic PDF-to-Excel converter. Go as the proof-grade statement reconstruction tool for US accountants doing litigation, tax-resolution and catch-up work. · Last updated: 30 Sept 2026

Origin: this idea came from the 30 Sept 2026 micro-SaaS research. It was prompted by Bank Statement Converter, a solo-founder business that reported $318,112.61 of revenue in 2024. Name: "StatementKit" is a working name. Check the trademark (USPTO and your home country) and the domain before using it publicly.

Caveat

Team, hours per week, geography, stage and traction weren't provided. The assumptions are in analysis/09. The web search budget ran out partway through this research run. Several points are still unverified:

  • Xero's and TallyPrime's native PDF import;
  • the size of the US forensic, divorce-analyst and tax-resolution markets;
  • search volumes;
  • Bank Statement Converter's revenue after Aug 2025;
  • the 2026 status of the US open-banking rule (CFPB 1033).
