One-Page Brief

Verdict

No as described. Weak Go only as a Forge help-center app for Confluence Cloud, and only as a second Forge app.

As described, a Notion-backed form builder or help center started in late 2026 has about a 2% chance of $10k MRR by month 24. The narrowed Confluence version reaches 5% at ~15 hrs/week and 9% full-time. That's the lowest in this portfolio. It is not fundable, and it doesn't need to be. See 01 for the five versions scored.

The five things that matter

  1. The form half is dead for a newcomer. Notion Forms is free on every plan. Tally gives unlimited free forms with a free Notion integration and claims 500,000+ teams. NoteForms (formerly NotionForms) claims 130,000+ users. Its founder built OpnForm, "the same product, but without Notion", to cut platform risk. The window that took NotionForms to $10k MRR in ~13.5 months opened on the day Notion's API launched in 2021. It won't open again.
  2. The help-center half works, but it's taken. HelpKit is the proof: solo, $10k+ MRR from 400+ customers (July 2025), and it now claims 1,000+ customers. It got there as the first mover, in about 3.5 years. NotionDesk, Notaku, Super, Bullet and Potion also compete. HelpKit writes an "alternative" page against each of them.
  3. Notion's own product sits one feature away. Notion Sites is free, with custom domains at $8–10 a month. According to HelpKit, the missing pieces are visitor search, password protection and help-center analytics. Each one is a Notion release away. Notion also launched Custom Agents (Feb 2026) and an Agent SDK (Sept 2026).
  4. Moving to Confluence gives you distribution and better economics, not a gap. Forge apps keep 100% of Marketplace revenue up to $1M. Buyers are B2B and pay per user. But Scroll Sites (K15t, 3,188 installs, 4.9 stars from 111 reviews, from $25 a month) and Refined Sites (2,412 installs, "5,000+ organizations") already offer AI search, custom domains and help-center themes.
  5. The only angle left is narrow. Sell to software teams that write docs in Confluence and then copy them into a separate help center costing $50–695 a month. Win on "write once" plus a doc-owner loop: failed searches and unhelpful pages become Jira tasks for the page owner. It's a real but thin edge.

Feature sort (headline)

  • Table stakes: custom domain, full-text search, themes, SEO and llms.txt, analytics, access protection.
  • Differentiator candidates: the doc-owner loop (failed search → Jira task), migration from Zendesk, Intercom or Notion, and AI answers that cite the page.
  • Distractions: forms, page builders and themes, internal wikis, several content sources.
  • Liabilities: anything built on Notion's free features, uncited AI answers, and "deflect X% of tickets" claims.

Most likely cause of death

Nobody switches. Teams that already use Scroll, Refined, HelpKit or their help desk's built-in help center see no reason to move, and the Marketplace shows the incumbents first. Early warning: fewer than 5 paying pilots by day 45.

Next 90 days

Do: 20 calls with Confluence-using software teams that publish docs elsewhere. Get 5 paying pilots by day 45, then build the Forge app. See 08. Stop: anything on Notion, and any form builder.
