4. Expanded Feature Catalog (What Agencies and In-Scope Businesses Ask For)

These are features buyers in this category ask for or that competitors advertise, each classified with the same honesty as your own list. Being in demand doesn't mean you should build it. Several of the loudest requests are the ones that create legal risk.

Legend: TS = Table stakes, D = Differentiator, X = Distraction, L = Liability. Priority: P0 = v1 of the recommended wedge, P1 = next, P2 = later, — = don't build.

4.1 Scanning and monitoring

FeatureDemand signalCategoryPriorityNotes
Scheduled axe-core scans of a template sample per siteUniversalTSP0Sample by template (home, category, product, cart, checkout, content page), not every URL. It keeps compute costs flat.
Regression alerts ("new errors since last scan, on these templates")High among agenciesTS / DP0This is what makes the subscription monthly rather than one-off.
Scripted journeys (add to cart → checkout → form errors) with PlaywrightHigh. Checkout was central to the French cases.DP1Top plan only. Scans behind login need stored credentials, so handle them with care.
Authenticated area scans (account pages)MediumTSP2Same credential risk.
WCAG 2.2 criteria toggleMedium, risingTSP1Ready for when EN 301 549 updates.
PDF document checksMediumX for you—A separate specialist market.
Mobile app testingMediumX—A different toolchain. Not in v1–v2.
Full-site crawl of every URL dailyAsked for, rarely neededX / cost—Burns compute for little extra signal.

4.2 Fix guidance and workflow

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Template and component grouping ("fix once, clears 3,400 errors")DP0The core of "prioritised fix guidance".
Priority score by user impact × pages affected × journey (checkout first)DP0Explain the ranking in plain words.
CMS-specific fix notes (WooCommerce/WordPress themes, Shopify Liquid, Shopware)DP1Start with the CMS your first agencies use.
Export to Jira, GitHub, LinearTSP1Agencies live in these.
CI check (GitHub Action that fails a build on new errors)DP2Developer-led agencies love it. It prevents regressions.
AI-suggested alt text and labels, human approvesD / LP2Suggestions only, never auto-published.
AI auto-fix that injects code into the live siteL—That is an overlay by another name.
"Fixed?" re-check button per issueTSP0Closes the loop.

4.3 Manual testing (the part automation misses)

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Guided manual checklist per template (keyboard path, focus order, screen-reader spot checks, zoom, error messages)DP0Automation covers 16 of 50 WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. This is where honesty becomes a product.
Evidence capture (dated notes, screenshots, tester name)DP0Feeds the evidence file.
Screen-reader test scripts per template (NVDA, VoiceOver)DP1Written with your accessibility advisor.
Referral to partner auditors for full auditsD (revenue)P110–20% referral fee. Keeps you out of services.
User testing with disabled testers (marketplace)X for nowP2Valuable, but it's an operations business.

4.4 EAA statements and evidence

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Country-specific statement generator (DE, NL, FR, EN), pre-filled from scan and manual dataDP0 (1 language) / P1 (more)Templates reviewed by your advisor and, once, by a local lawyer.
Statement versioning and "last reviewed" dateDP0Shows the statement is kept current.
Evidence file export (scan history, manual checks, fixes, statement versions, feedback log)DP0The painkiller moment. Label it an effort record, not proof of compliance.
Barrier-report form (a simple "report an accessibility problem" link, logged to the evidence file)DP1A plain form or email link, not an overlay widget.
Disproportionate-burden assessment templateD / LP2Useful, but close to legal advice. Template plus disclaimer only.
Microenterprise exemption checkerL— as a verdictExplain the rule and link the law. Never tell a business it is exempt.
Template replies to authority notices or warning lettersL—Legal advice. Refer to lawyers.
"EAA compliant" badge or certificateL—The accessiBe mistake.

4.5 Agency features

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
Multi-client dashboard (all sites, trend, what's overdue)DP0The main screen for your buyer.
White-label monthly PDF report per clientDP0The agency sends it under its own brand. It's what they bill for.
Free prospect scan the agency sends to leadsDP1Your referral loop: agencies sell with it, and prospects see the product.
"Accessibility care plan" sales kit (pricing guide, email templates, one-pager)DP1Helps agencies resell. Content, not code.
Client portal (read-only)TSP1Clients check status without emailing the agency.
Seats and rolesTSP1
White-label custom domain for the portalDP2Top plan.
APITSP2Top plan.

4.6 Trust, security and compliance of the tool itself

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
EU hosting and a GDPR data processing agreementTSP0EU agencies will ask on the first call.
Claims policy and disclaimers on every reportTSP0See 07.
SSOTSP2Larger agencies only.
SOC 2 / ISO 27001X for now—Enterprise ask. Not your buyer.

4.7 Bundles people suggest

FeatureCategoryPriorityNotes
SEO, performance and uptime checksX—WebYes and Siteimprove bundle these. It dilutes the message and puts you in a bigger, cheaper fight.
Cookie-banner accessibility checkDP1Cookie banners are a common barrier on EU sites, and agencies install them. A cheap, specific add.
US ADA / VPAT (ACR) reportsX for nowP2Different law and buyer. Revisit after $10k MRR.
Accessibility training coursesX—Pope Tech, Deque and Level Access sell these. Partner, don't build.
An overlay "for quick wins"L—Never.

4.8 Net effect

Of roughly 45 features, about 18 are real differentiators for an agency-focused EAA product, and 14 are marked P0. Most P0 items are small (a re-check button, versioning, a disclaimer), so v1 still fits in 8–10 weeks. Everything else is table stakes you add slowly, other companies' products you should partner with, or legal risk you should refuse.
